ANSWERS

1.  We can depend on seismic studies for understanding the interior of earth as the property of body waves is different through various layers of the earth.

2.  Using seismograph a record of the shaking caused by the seismic waves, earthquake can be studied.
With the help of advanced technologies changes in the seismic waves can be studied and can take necessary precautions against the hazard.
