| Recently during a geological field work in and around Avarampatti in Namakkal district, Mr.Subeesh Chandran and Mr. Arul Baba found a huge quartzite / quartzo-feldspathic underneath mafic and ultramafics, uplifting the latter to present ground level. This pegmatitic zone bear well developed morphs of quartz, feldspars, mica and beryl. Mr.Arul plans to map the area in 5mx5m plot to bring out the geological relationship between late pegmatites and early ultrmafics. The geological community can expect productive data mining from this region
